Get to know me... 

    After years of struggling with stomach pain, weight and body image, and experimenting with various yo-yo dieting and diet pills, I was introduced to the Ketogenic diet. Like many, I was hesitant at first, having never heard of a high fat diet for weight loss. After doing some research on my own I was ready to jump in headfirst, with little support from my family and friends. I followed this diet for many years, lost 35 pounds, reduced inflammation and enjoyed the energy and managed to keep the weight off. 

 

    My stomach and gut health, IBS-C and Autoimmune disorders continued to give me problems.  In 2017, I finally went to see a GI doctor.  This is when I discovered that I had a gluten intolerance and gastroparesis (slow emptying of the stomach).  Although, I had followed the KETO diet for years, it was shocking to realize how much gluten I was still consuming and how fiber was causing indigestion, bloating and IBS-C issues for me.  I mean, we are told to eat plenty of FIBER.   

 

    Now, 5 years later at 49 years old, I’m living a healthy, energetic lifestyle.  I enjoy cooking, outdoor activities, boating, running and sprinting, biking, paddleboarding, rollerblading, and occasional HIIT workouts and strength training. I eat a low carb, gluten free, sugar free diet. I am a Primal Health Coach, Keto and Carnivore Certified health Coach and I have a supplement certification.

 

I would love to share my knowledge, personal experiences and my passion for health, fitness and wellness with other individuals who are struggling with their health, weight and functional medicine.
